da bet7: Celtic fans in the Transfer Tavern are an optimistic bunch and are looking forward to another Celtic Park Champions League special on Wednesday!
da winzada777: With European qualification dominating their summer, the Hoops are in for an extremely long season and new manager Brendan Rodgers will have to quickly decide who makes the cut, and who faces the axe this summer.
They’ve got another Champions League tie against Hapoel Be’er Sheva this Wednesday, who won the Israeli Championship last season.
Yet one name the Hoops continue to be linked with is Bastian Schweinsteiger, who looks set to leave United after being well and truly Mourinho’d.
There always seems to be one fantastic international that is ruthlessly made an outcast by the Portuguese manager when he arrives at new jobs and unfortunately for Bastian, it was his turn to face the wrath.
But if the decorated German does make the move to Celtic Park, who could quickly follow him?
Here’s THREE players that could follow him north of the border….
Jason Cummings
The Bhoys have a knack for finding new-, up-and-coming Scottish talent and making them stars, look at well Leigh Griffiths is doing these days.
And another Hibs forward that Rodgers could target this summer is Jason Cummings, a 21-year-old striker who has somewhat burst on the scene for the Championship side.
He’s scored fifty goals in just over 110 appearances for the Edinburgh club, which makes for seriously impressive reading.
Could this be another Scottish diamond in the rough?
Tiago Ilori
With defensive options always needed in a title winning chase, could Celtic make a move for Liverpool centre-back Tiago Ilori?
Well, Rodgers signed the Portuguese youngster for Liverpool back in 2013 for over £7mm but it quickly became clear that he saw something in him that others didn’t.
He’s since struggled to make an impression at Anfield and looks set to leave this summer.
Could his former manager come knocking once more?
Tyler Blackett
Could Manchester United defender Tyler Blackett return to familiar surroundings as Jose Mourinho continues his United reboot?
Perhaps so, and he could be set to join team-mate Bastian Schweinsteiger for the season at Celtic Park.
Blackett might not have featured as much as he would have liked for the Glasgow giants during his season-long loan last season but he could do better under Rodgers, who has a track record of giving youngsters a chance.
