da luck： With all the drama at other clubs over the last seven days, Alan Pardew’s appointment as Newcastle manager has quickly become yesterday’s news. Mike Ashley will be pleased to see that there are more trigger happy owners in the top flight than himself, however will not be fooled into thinking the intensity of feeling on Tyneside has diminished since the protests at St James’ Park last weekend.
da lvbet： A win against Liverpool could not have made Pardew’s start any better, and with other dramas occupying the rest of the division, this may be a fixture to slip under the radar this weekend.
Alex McLeish will not have been happy to see his side go down to Wolves last weekend, particularly after all the positives of the Tottenham game two weeks ago. Should results go against them the Blues could be in the relegation zone come Sunday night, however, despite Newcastle’s strong form on the road this year, I fancy a draw here to keep the Christmas blues from McLeish’s door.
