The Latest: C&H share update…
According to the club insider, a source close to the West Ham first-teamer has revealed that more talks are scheduled with Soucek ‘over the the next few days’.
It is believed that the player’s advisors will be looking for as close to £100,000-per-week as possible with there being a very keen West Ham desire to tie down David Moyes’ most crucial players – including Soucek.
The Verdict: Get it done?
Soucek’s imperious form over 2020/2021 indicates he is certainly a player worth keeping and tying down to fresh terms.
As they potentially look to fend off suitors for the 26-year-old, pundit Paddy Kenny recently raved over the prospect of tying down the player – calling it a would-be ‘massive statement’ and ‘boost for the whole club’ (Football Insider).
Bearing this in mind, we believe securing Soucek to a new deal should be a top priority for owners GSB.
