Hat-trick hero Haland on Arsenal’s watchlist
da winzada777: Report: Football.london have reported that Arsenal are keeping a close eye on Erling Braud Haland after the young Norweigan netted an impressive hat-trick for Salszburg on their return to the Champions League against Genk. Emery’s plan has been to track the progress of the 19-year-old, having had scouts watch the Austrian Bundesliga a lot in recent month. So far, no fee has been attached to Haland’s red hot form, although Arsenal continue to keep tabs on him.
Verdict: The Leeds-born striker simply cannot stop scoring this season, netting 17 times in 11 games, including that recent hat-trick. The other goals have come domestically, with Haland bagging 11 in just seven league games and netting another hat-trick in the opening Austrian Cup match (statistics according to Transfermarkt).
It would, however, be tough to see him come in as a replacement for current Gunners hotshot Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Although, with the Gabon star now 31, perhaps signing Haland wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Fraser a priority in the summer
Report: According to The Sunday People (print edition, page 54, Sunday, September 15, 2019) Arsenal, amongst a variety of Premier League clubs, have targetted Bournemouth star Fraser as a top priority, as the Scotland international is out of contract in the summer. The report also claims the Cherries are set to offer Fraser a £100k-a-week deal to keep him at the club and fend off interest from Arsenal and other top-flight sides.
Verdict: Truthfully, it is not a signing Emery needs right now. The recruitment of Nicolas Pepe in the summer and the breakthrough of Riess Nelson has given the Gunners strong names on the wings. However, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s future up in the air, likewise, with Eddie Nketiah, an injury to one of Arsenal’s current wingers could leave a gap in the squad and force Emery’s hand.
As per WhoScored, Fraser has netted one goal and provided one assist in the five Premier League appearances this season, and last campaign, the 25-year-old made played in every in the league match starting 35/38 of them, bagging seven goals and 14 assists in that time (according to WhoScored).
If Arsenal wanted the deal to go through, it probably could happen. However, it could be argued Emery may be targetting players with more European experience come the summer.

Emery keeping tabs on Szoboszlai
Report: According to football.london, Emery is also keeping a watchful eye over Szoboszlai, who continues to impress alongside his teammate Haland at Salzburg. The report states Arsenal have been watching the 18-year-old for a number of months, by sending scouts to Austria and that Juventus and Inter Milan are also keeping tabs on him. However, the Gunners are more confident based on their ‘early maneuverings’ around the subject.
Verdict: Szobszlai netted in the Champions League tie against Genk and has also scored in the league where he has provided four assists (as per Transfermarkt). As for Arsenal, it would certainly be a welcomed signing, with the Hungarian’s versatility one of his main attributes – as shown by Transfermarkt. Szoboszlai is able to play on left, central and as an attacking midfielder and he would perhaps help fill the void left by the versatile Aaron Ramsey and Dani Ceballos, as he is just on loan.
This, however, doesn’t mean the deal will happen. After all, Emery must fend of fellow European heavyweights if he is to seal his signature.
