da apostebet: West Ham finally secured their first points of the 2018/19 Premier League season last weekend with the 3-1 win over Everton, but left-back Arthur Masuaku still had a pretty torrid time up against Theo Walcott at Goodison Park.
The 24-year-old has played four of the first five league matches this season under new boss Manuel Pellegrini, but it may be time for the Chilean boss to bring Aaron Cresswell back in to the fold to start this weekend against a Chelsea side who have secured maximum points from their first five matches and sit at the top of the table on goal difference.
Cresswell, who is valued at £10.8m by Transfermarkt, would be a far more solid defensive choice from Pellegrini which could be needed to combat the free-flowing Blues attack.
Masuaku on the other hand was often caught out against Everton, with the cross for Gylfi Sigurdsson’s goal coming from full-back Jonjoe Kenny on his side just after he had been booked for a terrible attempt at winning an aerial ball where his foot was planted on Walcott’s head.
So, West Ham fans, who do you think should start for the Hammers at left-back in Sunday’s East vs West London derby? Have your say by voting in our poll below.
