West Ham fans are desperate to keep hold of Marko Arnautovic amidst interest from Manchester United, but would selling him really be the end of the world?
According to various reports, Manchester United are interested in a summer swoop for Arnautovic, with Sky Sports now claiming the Hammers would expect £50m to sell the Austrian.
Jose Mourinho is looking to bridge the gap between the Red Devils and Pep Guardiola’s unstoppable Manchester City, and he is seeking a left sided forward this summer.
Mario Mandzukic and Arnautovic were both mentioned as targets last weekend, and the links to West Ham’s star man have been heating up this week.
The 29 year-old joined from Stoke for a club record £25m last summer, and if not for his 11 league goals this season the Hammers might have been in a much worse position at the end of the season.

There’s no doubt Arnautovic is a wonderful player, but if Mourinho is willing to part with £50m to secure his services, should a sale really be out of the question?
The Austrian international has four years left on his contract, but will turn 30 next season, and may not replicate this season’s fantastic form under a different manager and system.
While he is a fabulous player and would no doubt be a big loss, the Hammers could certainly do with an extra £50m to give Manuel Pellegrini as he seeks to strengthen the squad.
So, West Ham fans, should you consider doubling your money to sell Arnautovic? Or is selling him out of the question? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
