Due in part to the complications regarding UEFA's rules, INEOS are prepared to sell the French club, reports. However, the decision is also motivated by Sir Jim Ratcliffe's desire to focus on United since taking on a minor stake earlier this year.

It is expected that the governing body will go down the same route it did last season regarding AC Milan and Toulouse, who also share an owner.
